Radford Athletics’ Student-Athlete Support Services (SASS) focuses on developing the whole athlete through services that grow leadership skills, support academic achievement and progression, and build community awareness. We are passionate advocates for all Radford University student-athletes, helping them develop into well-rounded professionals in and out of their sport.
SASS provides direction for student-athletes through academic counseling in collaboration with Career and Talent Development and advisors from their respective academic colleges. We help our student-athletes stay on track for graduation by providing academic support services such as tutoring, supervised study hall, and career planning, along with regularly monitoring eligibility statuses.
We also work with our Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SACC) to encourage leadership skills and community awareness by coordinating community service events that allow our athletes to connect and make a difference within the surrounding community. Our primary, and constant goal is to develop graduates who are outstanding citizens that have excelled in the areas of athletic competition, academic excellence and community enhancement during their time with us.
