Studying abroad is one of the most rewarding and beneficial experiences a student can have during their college career. During these unique opportunities, students are exposed to different languages, food, education, and cultures, leading them to develop a sense of global citizenship that serves them well throughout their lives. Radford University provides our students with a variety of locations worldwide to find their preferred program, including studying, conducting research, engaging in internships, teaching, or other educational initiatives abroad.
For students of limited means, some of the costs associated with participating in a study abroad experience may require detailed planning and involve financial expenses, such as obtaining a passport, which could prevent them from taking part. The McGlothlin International Education Fund exists to help remove financial hurdles and provide access to study abroad opportunities for all students, regardless of socioeconomic status. For this, we need your help in raising $2,000 in less than 48 hours to alleviate travel expenses, such as the costs of obtaining a passport. Your contribution will help us remove the financial barriers of pursuing an education abroad for students in need.
If the McGlothlin International Education Fund is the first to raise $1,910 in contributions during the Highlander10 Challenge, the Radford University Foundation will provide us with an additional $1,000 of funding. So please consider making your gift today! The competition ends on December 1.
