The Venture Lab is an interdisciplinary learn-by-doing lab for innovation and entrepreneurship at Radford University. We believe the American Dream of entrepreneurship should be inclusive and accessible to all.
Our mission is to inspire, empower, and motivate entrepreneurial students and faculty across all majors to serve as a force for good in society. We encourage and empower students to solve problems non-intuitively, to think outside the "traditional" definition of entrepreneurism and redefine its perception with concepts such as social, economic and environmental problem-solving. To support our mission, the Venture Lab provides real-world experiences, mentorship, networking, and change-making opportunities.
To further those efforts and to provide cutting edge entrepreneurship and innovative learn-by-doing opportunities, we would like to launch a Virtual Reality Lab within the Venture Lab!
This technology will enable us to expand our existing cross-campus curriculum and empower our students to:
- Launch business or social ventures
- Offer consulting to corporations
- Better understand complex global problems
- Attend conferences around the world
- Visit with entrepreneurial leaders and alumni
- Explore new technology such as AI, blockchain and NFTs.
To make this vision a reality, our goal is to start with 10 virtual reality headsets at approximately $400 each = $4,000 plus EdTech Licensing.
