Baseball
The Radford Baseball team, led by Head Coach Karl Kuhn, has a rich tradition at Radford University. After an abrupt cancellation to the 2020 season due to the pandemic, the team is eager to kick-off 2021 and return to the Big South Championship Tournament and the College Baseball World Series.
RECENT ACCOLADES
- J.D. Mundy signed with the Baltimore Orioles following the 2020 season.
- Was off to best start since 2014 before COVID-19 halted the season.
- Mundy, Colby Higgerson and Austin Gerber each earned VaSID All-State honors for the 2020 season.
- Earned the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award for the first time in program history and has produced a team GPA of 3.3 or better in each of the last three semesters.
- Improved batting average by nearly 50 points (.286 vs. .237) and ERA dropped by nearly a full run (5.05 vs. 5.85) compared to the start of the 2019 season.
