RECENT ACCOLADES
- Adelyn Traylor-Walker has already won two Freshman of the Week honors so far this season.
- Last season, the Highlanders excelled in another Big South Championship appearance, winning 15 games and posting a winning Big South record.
- Five Highlanders earned end-of-season awards from the Big South, including Ashlyn Traylor-Walker (first-team), Taniya Hanner (honorable mention), Joi Williams (all-freshman), Terissa Lavoile-Brice (all-freshman) and Olivia Wagner (all-academic). Traylor-Walker and Williams also were named to the conference’s all-tournament team.
- As the third seed in the conference tournament, the Highlanders picked up victories over #6 Winthrop and #2 USC Upstate before coming up just short in the title match-up.
- The Highlanders set a program record for Big South weekly awards, earning 12 across the season. The honors were evenly spread across the team as Ashlyn Traylor-Walker earned three Player of the Week awards, Terissa Lavoile-Brice earned four Freshman of the Week awards, Joi Williams earned three Freshman of the Week awards, while Olivia Wagner and Taniya Hanner each earned one Player of the week nod.
