Your donations allow us to offset expenses for travel experiences, including transportation and accommodations. Last year, our team benefitted from playing overseas in Tokyo, Japan, and Cancun, Mexico. This year, the team successfully competed in the Sunshine Slam in Daytona Beach, FL, finishing as the tournament champion. Expanded competition opportunities help our players experience and appreciate different cultures, raise the team's competitive profile, and serve as compelling recruitment touchpoints. Resources from our fund also provide additional tools to help our coaches recruit the most talented athletes who exemplify Radford Athletics' core values.
RECENT ACCOLADES
- The Highlanders had two members earn Big South end-of-season awards last year, including DaQuan Smith (second-team) and Chandler Turner (all-academic).
- After the conclusion of last season, Bryan Antoine earned NBA draft workouts with teams such as the New York Knicks, Memphis Grizzlies, and Brooklyn Nets.
- Radford set top-five marks in program history for the 2023-24 season in categories such as free throw percentage and fewest turnovers.
- The Men’s Basketball team, Dedmon and Radford University continued their national presence as they were selected for three nationally televised ESPNU games throughout the 2023-24 season.
